I made my stilt walking debut in Mickey’s Jammin in the Jungle Parade today!!!
Remember how it poured today?
Well it did, and it happened at EXACTLY the right time to cancel parade.
So I didn’t get to make my parade debut.
But we had approvals for stilts tonight, and I am approved! So I’ll be stilt walking in the parade now! And we finished early so I got to leave at 9:30 but I’m still getting paid until midnight!
I have my first rehearsal
for Mickey’s Jammin in the Jungle Parade tonight and I’m super excited and kind of nervous… but I’m going to be in a parade! A real, live, Disney parade at Animal Kingdom!
Sometimes life really sucks for a couple of weeks
but then you work through all of the problems and realize that life is actually kind of awesome. I’m going back to school in the spring, I live in a gorgeous house with great roommates, I’m getting trained as a stilt walker in a parade at work, and all the things that were stressing me out a few weeks ago aren’t issues anymore.
I went to bed at 9 last night
and woke up at 10 this morning when Terri accidently set the house alarm off. That’s a lot of sleep but I definitely needed it.
I didn’t get the FOLK stilt walking, but I don’t feel too bad about it because they only picked guys and I can’t help the fact that I was born without balls.
GPOYW: Successfully navigated my Festival of the Lion King assessment on three-foot stilts last night!
