I need to leave Alabama immediately. I was just on the phone with a flower shop, ordering a corsage for my mother (for Mother’s Day - look at me, being a good daughter), and I am ashamed by how much of an accent I shifted into while talking to the lady. I have worked too hard all through high school and over the past 2 years to NOT have an accent to develop one now that I only have a few months left! Ahh!
I blame my roommates.
