Brand new and ancient, and the bluest blue ever.
Last year, Elmo and Cookie Monster stopped by EW’s offices to perform their versions of some popular TV shows. This year, Elmo was too busy working on Elmo: The Musical — but Grover and Cookie Monster (a.k.a. the Blue Brothers) had enough wiggle room in their schedules to come around and sing a few musical numbers of their own, parodying the likes of The Hunger Games, The Avengers, Doctor Who, and even TheNewsroom. Amy Pond by way of Alphonse Mucha (by Bill Mudron)
We had a quiz on the first two acts of Macbeth today and instead of putting that Macbeth was the Thane of Glamis, I put that he was the Thane of Gondor.
whoops
Nerd fail. I so sympathize…
We got our grades back today and I’m dying because my professor gave me credit for it.
Your professor is a closet Ringer. I guarantee you that after he graded your exam, he came across a failing grade and shouted “You shall not pass!”
Actually, my professor is a Russian woman who wears Doctor Who shirts and worked “The Shakespeare Code” episode into the syllabus, so it wouldn’t surprise me if that happened. :)
Montagues.
I’m going to take a second to brag about the English in Film and Literature class that I’m taking this summer because the focus is Shakespeare and tomorrow we are watching Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. Oh and next week we’re watching Shakespeare in Love and during the last week of class we’re watching “The Shakespeare Code” a.k.a. the Doctor Who episode where they use a Harry Potter spell to defeat evil.
We at the Doctor Who Tumblr would like to say that we have full faith in Matt as a torch bearer.
I’m 99% certain I stubbornly believe that David Tennant, in costume, is going to carry the torch into the stadium and light the flame and they just aren’t telling anyone because they want it to be a “surprise”.
